Description:

As an HR Generalist within the YAM Corporate team you’ll be the ‘customer-facing’ business partner to our leadership team and the teammates within a selection of our companies. You’ll be responsible for providing expertise and direct support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, recruiting and selection, employee training/development and general administration. You’ll be the primary point of contact to the assigned ‘customer’ base, from the standpoint of managing the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct recruitment efforts: write and place advertisements, conduct phone screens, schedule, and conduct interviews with hiring managers
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and onboarding ensuring a great onboarding experience
  • Maintain work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews
  • Coach and counsel managers to monitor and keep an appraisal of employee work results
  • Counsel managers on proper procedures regarding employee relations
  • Work with business leaders to resolve employee grievances, counsel employees and supervisors
  • Answer employee questions regarding benefit enrollment
  • Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Assist with the preparation for annual performance reviews
  • Submit online background checks and set up pre-employment drug tests
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to ensure continual improvements in the HR department
  • Maintain compliance and knowledge with all federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Maintain HR records and prepare reports from database for senior management
  • Assist business leaders/departments with various research projects and/or special projects
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
  • Proficiency in ADP Work Force Now highly desired
