*We are offering a $500 signing bonus, $250 to be paid out after 30 days of employment and $250 to be paid out after 60 days of employment. 

Description

            As a pastry chef, we will look at you to deliver 5-star service by using your creativity and skills to design and implement creative and innovative pastry recipes and menus for the food service operation, daily member dining, social events, and private banquets. Your experience will serve as a role model to promote prompt, courteous and friendly service to all members, guests, and employees. You will assist the executive pastry chef in overseeing pastry and kitchen supply purchases, maintain inventories, establishes controls to minimize food and supply waste and maintains consistent quality to manage established food costs. Lastly, you will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are always maintained throughout the kitchen areas.           

The Skills You’ll Bring

  • Strong pastry skills, experience and knowledge of food preparation and presentation to fulfil the needs of a sophisticated membership.
  • Previous experience working in, and successfully executing, pastry requests in a fast-paced and execution-focused environment.    
  • Strong desire, and familiarity with, working in an environment with changing and competing priorities
  • A passion for hospitality with a true service heart, and strong attention to the details
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills effectively partner with co-workers, the Culinary team and Front of House staff
  • Flexible approach, based on business demand, and able to work varying working hours, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Possess a high level of self-motivation, accountability, use of sound judgement and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Neat and polished appearance
  • Demonstrated confidentiality, honesty, and integrity in all situations

Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hospitality and/or resort setting
  • Previous management experience with focus on high quality production environment
  • Culinary degree from an accredited culinary program.
