Description:

Primary responsibilities as the Supply Chain Logistics Analyst to support the Distribution and Supply Chain process through freight planning, logistics reporting, vendor communications, freight claims and data management. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound international shipments with freight forwarders and customs brokers to our global warehouses, on-time and within budget
  • Track shipments and maintain shipment reports
  • Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Manage logistics partners and monitor/manage service levels through KPIs
  • Liaison with warehouse team on inbound shipments and receiving issues
  • Conduct freight vendor RFPs
  • Audit logistics partner invoices and submit disputes
  • Support Logistics Director with additional tasks as assigned

Job Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with international air and ocean (FCL and LCL) freight
  • Experience creating and understanding international shipping documents (BOLs, CI, PL, SLI, customs forms, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and customs compliance requirements
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills – ability to mold raw data sets into actionable information through formulas, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

Job Skills Preferred:

  • Extensive background in movement of international and domestic freight
  • Experience with Air and Ocean carriers
  • Knowledge of parcel shipping (FedEx, USPS, etc.)

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-driven and directed, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Team player mentality & self-motivated

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Certifications:

  •  Not applicable

 Years of Experience:

  •  5 years of experience in same or similar role

 Travel:

  •  10%

This position works in an office environment. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods.
