Description:

The Apparel Senior Product Development Manager will work with the design and production team to develop/source fabric and/or trim to execute the aesthetic expectations, appearance, hand feel, and finish of all products. Will develop T&A, PLM system, and fabric & trim libraries for the company. Collaborate with all apparel teams – Marketing, Merchandising, Design, and Production to make sure timelines and product details are aligned. 

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will have a technical product development background, be a self-starter and determine opportunities to manage costs without jeopardizing quality or getting behind schedule.
  • Solid understanding of target margins to hit or exceed goals.  Ability to introduce and engage new vendors if needed to meet or exceed goals.
  • Trims and fabric-based price negotiation with suppliers and, if necessary, creation of benchmarks and comparisons.
  • Optimization of product and processing quality.
  • Creation and maintenance of working documents and databases.
  • Global travel to suppliers and trade show visits.
  • Participation in projects and fittings.
  • Ensure daily processes, communication, and RM deadlines are met for all developments and/or sourcing projects.
  • Ensuring that brand quality for the best price is always a top priority.
  • Manage standardization, second sourcing, and execution of fabric developments within the parameters of our product sourcing strategy.
  • Work closely with the suppliers to ensure streamlined testing for all color or strike-off approvals.
  • Partner with mills and vendors to resolve any RM development-related issues that may surface through the product lifecycle.
  • Able to introduce new trims & fabrics at competitive price points as well as new features on the performance functions and new technologies.
  • Closely work with the design team to support lab dips, strikeoffs, trims, bulk, and development samples and manage deadlines. 
  • Reviews and assesses raw material test reports. A proactive approach to risk assessment during development.

 Job Skills Required:

  • Solid understanding of trims, fabrics, and apparel.

  • Very organized and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional understanding of calendar and deadlines. 

 Job Skills Preferred:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Performance fashion experience preferred
  • Golf industry experience preferred

  • A confident, solution-focused, self-starter, possess great stakeholder management skills, high levels of numeracy, and strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Passion for PXG brand.
  • Ability to work both independently and with multiple teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

This position works in an office environment.  Must be able to bend, crouch, sit, stand, and lift.
