Description:

The Project Manager is the coordinator between laborers, contractors, and project deliverables.  This role works with both internal teams and external vendors/contractors to achieve desired project plan.  This role leverages project management tools and industry-standard workflows to coordinate resources across multiple business units, enforce accountability, and communicate project deliverables, timelines, and information.  Communication, follow-through and persistence is critical to this position as well as time management and planning. This role also requires familiarity with technical areas related to IT workflow and basic IT concepts and principles in order to direct appropriate resources. This position will be responsible for setting up and coordinating all IT infrastructure for physical locations such as retail spaces and warehouses.  This position will be part of the Project Management Office (PMO) working closely with other PM’s and the Engineering team to gather quotes and scope of work from vendors for projects, designing MDF and WIFI layouts, putting together rack elevations and patch panel layouts, and ordering and setting up wifi, cameras, etc. for each location. An ideal candidate will have an IT background with an understanding of IT terminology, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects in part or in whole from creation to implementation
  • Identify, manage, and communicate potential risks or liabilities of projects
  • Assist in the definition of scope and project goals
  • Work with both internal and external teams to solve project blockers
  • Serve as the point of contact for technology-focused projects 
  • Identify resource requirements across multiple projects and coordinate resources to ensure project success 
  • Identify methods to improve project communication, resources and related efficiencies 
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, business leaders and team members 
  • Evaluate project outcome and identify areas for improvement
  • Gather quotes and SOW from vendors
  • Working with Engineering team to review SOW from vendors
  • Work with other Project Managers on scheduling these vendors with the superintendent of a general contractor
  • Work with PM and Engineering on redlining data plans
  • If needed, work with PM on complete data plans, and SOW, which includes security and AV

Experience and Education Required:

  • Minimum 3 years in a Project Management, Business Analyst or customer-facing support role
  • Minimum 1 year of helpdesk experience
  • Minimum 1 year IT/Hardware experience
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus
  • Experience with Jira, Wrike or similar project management software
  • Experience with basic IT concepts and workflow (physical deployment of equipment, infrastructure, networking)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
  • Experience with construction and electrical designs is a plus

  • Basic understanding of building electrical, fire, and safety codes as they relate to IT
  • Familiarity with AV a plus
  • Familiarity with Security Cameras and Access Control a plus
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus
  • 50% travel and flexibility to accommodate last minute travel or shift in travel plans
  • Ability to travel over weekends if the need arises
