PXG is seeking a highly skilled, customer-obsessed Principal / UX Director with the right combination of strategic vision and hands-on execution. Get closer to the work—this role is perfect for a thoughtful UX and Design Leader with proven performance interested in keeping their hands dirty in the work WITHOUT the headache that comes with a large enterprise. You’ll partner with business, product, and engineering to establish, execute, and optimize towards a strategic vision. As well as help refine customer touchpoints throughout the journey, and collaborate on strategies to research, test, and validate hypotheses. You’ll immerse yourself in the golf industry to understand the customers and connect to equipment, apparel, custom fitting, retail, and fulfillment team. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves to design and prototype new concepts and are comfortable creating your own usability tests for rapid feedback as well as engaging in technical conversations to push the envelope and stay on the leading edge of what’s possible. You have experience managing and mentoring Junior and Senior UX Designers, Copywriters, UX Researchers, and understand how to align resources to best execute against a plan. You’ll serve as the voice of the customer in all aspects of your role and know how to both articulate and validate through data (qualitative and quantitative). You’ll participate in the process of recruiting, screening, and hiring supporting members of the UX team and operate with an A/B and multivariate testing mindset. Additionally, you have track record of executing under pressure and tight deadlines, as well as managing multiple projects and priorities with confidence and composure. You’re able to quickly move from idea phase to execution, avoiding the traps of overthinking and hypothetical debate. You possess a strong sense of craft and aesthetic detail and responsibility to honor the Brand.


  • Plan, build, and maintain a detailed component library that will serve as the standard UI reference for digital site and product.
  • Figma expert and able to translate design into code, able to appreciate and communicate the benefits of a well-built and well-governed Design System
  • Document work in a way that can serve multiple audiences (design and development).
  • Partner closely with front-end-development teams to integrate design system into executable, repeatable, and predictable code.
  • Serve as a standards and best practices junkie, knowing when and how to revise, edit, or adopt new concepts.
  • An advocate for accessibility, with a desire to help educate others on both the what and why.
  • Support other designers in prototyping, and UX Research to inform continued testing and improvement.
  • Drive a System Design mindset into everyday work, to maximize the speed and consistency of delivery.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human Factors or Digital Technologies preferred
  • 7 years of Design experience implementing strategic customer experiences with strong business outcomes
  • 3 years of experience working in a Design System environment

Working Conditions:

This position primarily works in an office environment.  Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods.
