Description: The Local Marketing Program Manager will lead marketing engagement at the various local market levels through demonstrated expertise in customer insights, geography, and the national PXG Go-To-Market strategy. This job contributes to PXG’s success by training Store Managers to plan and deliver local marketing programming (through the program parameters identified).  This training will include:  identifying & negotiating advertising opportunities, sponsorships, and partnerships; local events, community- building efforts, philanthropy, earned media, public relations, and influencer relations. The Local Marketing Program Manager trains leaders on recapping and reporting for the market, including internal storytelling. 

Responsibilities:

  • Trains the individual Store Managers to identify, develop, and lead new and existing program opportunities and ensures program performance goals are met.  Including, but not limited to:
    1. Drive store/digital traffic
    2. Increased brand engagement
    3. New customer acquisition
    4. Word-of-mouth marketing
    5. Connecting Co-op-wide initiatives at a regional and market level
    6. Leading with impact and member retention.
    7. Works with the individual Store Managers and teams to obtain directed local opportunities and ideas.
    8. Develops the Marketing initiatives and Engagement in the Market.
    9. Works in partnership with individual Store Managers to train them on: 
      1. Creating and delivering local marketing and earned media plans
      2. Negotiating and buying media
      3. Managing projects for the region for marketing activations
      4. Collaborating cross-functionally to navigate within a corporate marketing structure
      5. Owns the local marketing calendar.
      6. Builds and manages relationships with local partners vendors and partners.
      7. Creates the local marketing budget and performance as defined by the Program Parameter.
      8. Ensures the In-Market & Creative teams have marketing campaign details in a timely manner for effective execution.
      9. Attends local events and activations as needed.
      10. Cultivates and leverages local media partnerships (i.e., news outlets, radio and social media) to promote PXG’s expertise.
      11. Builds and executes local support plan for national public relations communications
      12. Leads planning and execution of Market and project plans.
      13. Builds and executes the local marketing support plan for national vendor and/or partnership programs.
      14. Collects feedback and evaluates ROI on programs to improve future performance.
      15. Builds positive and beneficial relationships with Experiences, Retail and HQ partners to ensure buy-in and support of Local Marketing Programs.
      16. Represents the local Marketing team and communicates local Marketing priorities during regular market store visits.

      Job Skills Required:

      • Deep understanding of golf culture and consumer behavior. 
      • Proven ability to develop and execute local marketing strategies across diverse product lines.
      • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to lead events and multi-channel campaigns.
      • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, particularly in working with influencers, golf clubs, and retail partners.
      • Experience working with data to track campaign performance and adjust strategies to improve results.
      • Demonstrated ability to develop an intimate knowledge of customers, competition, and the market.
      • Strong business and financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by superior presentation skills.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage and control costs.
      • Demonstrated ability to develop a functional operating plan.
      • Demonstrated ability to increase margins.

      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

      Education:

      • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

      Certifications:

      • n/a

      Years of Experience:

      • 5 years of experience in regional or local marketing, with specific experience in the golf industry, luxury brands, and/or sports apparel.
      • Demonstrated success in executing marketing campaigns that span product categories, particularly combining performance products (golf clubs) with lifestyle or fashion categories (apparel).

      Travel:

      • Must be able and willing to travel (up to 50%) regionally for events, store visits, and meetings.

      Working Conditions:

      This position primarily works in an office and field environment.  Must be able to bend, crouch, sit, stand, and lift. Must be willing and able to travel as required.
