Description:

The Internal Systems Product Owner – Order Acquisition is responsible for understanding the software needs of PXG’s direct-to-consumer model, and setting, prioritizing, and accepting the work that supports those needs. Our team sets the vision and tone for not only our customer experience in-store, but also our warehouse management, manufacturing, point-of-sale, and delivery systems and processes. This role is responsible for articulating what success looks like operationally and rallying teams to turn that vision into a reality. You will also identify user needs, help stakeholders understand the business value, and work with cross-functional teams to manage our internal sales portal and POS systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Help build and refine the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities for PXG’s in-store sales, warehouse management, ERP, and manufacturing systems
  • Work closely with the Product Management team, other Product Owners, and developers to align these strategies across the web and store, US & International
  • Help execute the internal systems roadmap with the other members of the delivery team
  • Use data to assess KPI and OKRs for your assigned areas
  • Prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure that work focuses on those that are aligned with the defined product strategy, providing maximum value to the company
  • Continuously discover opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal systems by researching and analyzing new strategies
  • Be the communication link between stakeholders and the delivery team
  • Work with the Scrum Master to ensure appropriate dev team utilization and that they are working on the right thing
  • Own and manage the planning and prioritizing of the product backlog and development, including technical stories & technical debt
  • Partner with the delivery team to lead product release plans and set the expectation for the delivery of new functionality
  • Communicate releases and features per a release by documenting and delivering release notes to stakeholders

Projects you or your team could work on:

  • Improving our POS and internal ordering systems to create a better experience for our customers and PXG retail and support teams.
  • International Retail operation expansion with new platforms to enable the opening of stores and facilities in multiple countries and states
  • Launching and improving our ability to deliver purchased products (both raw products coming to us, and products being sent to customers through existing and new sales channels like Amazon)

Experience and Education:

  • Experience with retail, direct-to-consumer strategy
  • 1 years of experience in an Agile environment
  • Familiarity with POS systems
  • Experience with SalesForce, CPQ is a plus
  • Prior experience managing engineers and development lifecycles
  • Working experience with Agile and Scrum process and principles 
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Creative problem solver with an attention to detail 
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), JIRA/Confluence, and Data Analysis tools (Tableau)

Working Conditions:

This position primarily works in an office environment.  Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods.
