PXG is looking for an Enterprise Architect to lead cross-functional design efforts, define end-to-end architectures, oversee and perform research on technology options, which include recommendations and next steps for proposed implementations. This position requires someone with proven retail systems industry experience who can work with a significant degree of creativity and independence. The Enterprise Architect will work with IS and IT groups in defining architectures, leading projects that are cross-functional and that require coordination, planning, and scheduling of implementation. Because of this, exceptional communication is key. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

 Responsibilities:

  • Define overall direction and create enterprise architectures to effectively support business strategy through the delivery of models, frameworks, and other artifacts that effectively support the corporate business strategy.
  • Collaborate with customers, systems managers, and engineers from several disciplines to help drive customer deliverables and systems design
  • Organize and create complex technology solutions across the organization that includes roadmaps, timelines, operational requirements and budget impacts
  • Lead, advise and contribute to business plans and strategies. Be called upon by peers to provide unbiased guidance, focusing on enterprise considerations. Develop and execute the enterprise architecture practice.
  • Contribute to the creation or maintenance of Architecture Principles, Practices and Patterns. Provide evidence of conceptual designs, models and frameworks across teams.
  • Identify and communicate risks affecting sustainability and performance of enterprise systems. Ensure these risks are tracked and managed
  • Plan, assign and supervise the work of others. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, peers, staff and others
  • Work with the application, technology, product, and domain owners to ensure that roadmaps are present & maintained for their respective entries in the catalog
  • Coordinate technology integration within new or existing program portfolio to ensure products and services meet minimum standards and requirements
  • Analyze and interpret of large, complex IT/technology products and services
  • Influence, negotiate, mediate, and resolve problems
  • Analyze data needs, including governance and security policy (PII, PCI)
  • Gather & catalog information related to applications, technologies, and other information related to the enterprise landscape
  • Prepare cases for change
  • Rationalize and transform applications within the landscape


Experience and Education Required:

  • Bachelor of Administration (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field
  • 10 overall application development and integration technical experience
  • 3 years of retail systems experience: Point-of-Sale, ERP, Supply Chain, Fulfillment
  • 3 years of experience with Salesforce technology stack: CORE (Sales/Service/CPQ), Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud
  • 3 years of experience architecting, engineering, and supporting enterprise solutions in hosted and cloud environments
  • Basic understanding of enterprise application technologies as well as common EA topics such as person-based journeys, process orchestration, master data management, analytics and insights, artificial intelligence
  • Experience in cloud application created and deployed on AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP or any another cloud native platform
  • Hands-on experience in API management and API security standards (Token, OAuth, OpenId)
  • Understanding of the loosely coupled architecture and reusable APIs
  • Integration Platform experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Global technology experience
  • Cloud Architecture or Engineering Certifications

This position works in an office environment.  Must be able to bend, crouch, sit, stand, lift.
